Maidenhead Synagogue

Maidenhead Synagogue wanted to cut its energy costs and its carbon footprint without taking on any capital risk. Working with our delivery partner UrbanVolt, we designed, funded and installed a 50kWp solar array on the synagogue’s roof under a Solar-as-a-Service agreement — at zero upfront cost.

The result

The array now meets 69% of the building’s daytime electricity demand, delivering a 38% saving against the grid rate. That’s £5,350 saved in year one alone, with a projected £434,924 in savings over the full 25-year term of the agreement.

The environmental impact is just as significant: 10,952kg of CO2 saved every year, the equivalent of 503 trees.
